JUDGE DREDD // MACHINE RULE by John Wagner (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
The mech takeover continues and there are some interesting reactions to it all. I like the mix here. Dredd looks like he will have some help and I look forward to that moving forward.
ROGUE TROOPER // RECON by Geoffrey D. Wessel (w) Paul Marshall (a) Pippa Bowland (c) Jim Campbell (l)
Quite an action-packed issue here, with Rogue doing what he does best. Even so, there is a nice twist at the end. Hopefully we will learn more about this alien invasion soon.
BRINK // CONSUMED by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
A very talkative issue, but it was compelling nevertheless. I love the reactions as we get details. The build-up is working well and it looks like we are getting some answers to what has been happening here (and possibly in the past too!)
HERNE & SHUCK // SUFFER THE CHILDREN by David Barnett (w) Lee Milmore (a) Quinton Winter (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
There is some history here, and a link to the first arc of Herne & Shuck. I like how it all links up and deals with the other group. Pretty clever by Shuck, and now we go back to where it began!
SILVER // UNEARTHED by Mike Carroll (w) Joe Currie (a) Simon Bowland (l)
This was quite action-packed. I love the artwork and the washed-out style of the colouring. It looks like we’re getting into the belly of the beast here, and we will learn more about it all.
