JUDGE DREDD // SOFT by Rob Williams & Arthur Wyatt (w) Jake Lynch (a) Matt Soffe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A nice twist at the end, and I liked how it pans out - not the way some characters wanted. I initially thought the ending of this story was a little abrupt, but I get it now. A slow burn here.
FIENDS OF THE WESTERN FRONT // WILDE WEST by Ian Edginton (w) Tiernen Trevallion (a) Jim Campbell (l)
I enjoyed this back-and-forth here and a little bit of history too. The setup for what is coming and I like the use of the vision.
PORTALS & BLACK GOO // A QUORUM OF FIENDS by John Tomlinson (w) Eoin Coveney (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
It looks like the characters are slowly coming together and we are close to getting the reason behind this all. The delivery company being the link between them is clever and I love the artwork.
THE OUT // BOOK FOUR by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Simon Bowland (l)
This was full of ups and downs and was an entertaining read. The little shock at the end, along with an interesting reveal - or error correction - was something adn I wonder how that will change the mood of Syd!
HAWK THE SLAYER // THE LAST OF HER KIND by Alec Worley (w) Simon Coleby (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Down in the bowels of the castle we get some more character work, along with the big reveal at the end. I like the little rebellions in this and look forward to more revelations.
