New! JUDGE DREDD // DOG'S LIFE by Mike Carroll (w) Nicolo Assirelli (a) John Charles (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A fun one-shot story and introducing a new character that I hope we will see more of in the future. The link between him and Dredd was excellent with the two different points of view.
FIENDS OF THE WESTERN FRONT // WILDE WEST by Ian Edginton (w) Tiernen Trevallion (a) Jim Campbell (l)
The hunt is on, and it brings fire. I like the look at Lucifer’s fall and how this angel fell but avoided punishment. There will likely be an interesting confrontation coming up soon.
PORTALS & BLACK GOO // A QUORUM OF FIENDS by John Tomlinson (w) Eoin Coveney (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
There are some interesting character aspects here, and I’m enjoying the pacing of this story. The art continues to be excellent, and the twist at the end was very well done—but I expected something like this!
THE OUT // BOOK FOUR by Dan Abnett (w) Mark Harrison (a) Simon Bowland (l)
We get a bit of a happy ending to this issue and I like how it was all explained - looking back, it all makes sense. I love the art here and look forward to where it is going.
HAWK THE SLAYER // THE LAST OF HER KIND by Alec Worley (w) Simon Coleby (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
We get a look at the nature of the power here, and I like the look of it. It’s not all grim, but the shiny aspect makes it worse.
