JUDGE DREDD // THE TRUTH BOMBER by Ken Niemand (w) PJ Holden (a) Jack Davies (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A fun read, showing the latest fads and madness of the citizens of Mega City One in this issue. Dredd being Dredd and there are some fun comments on truth and the state of the city. Cleverly this leads into…
CHIMPSKY’S LAW // THE TRUTH CONUNDRUM by Ken Niemand (w) PJ Holden (a) Jack Davies (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
It’s great to see Chimpsky back and his link with Dredd is always fun. I like the commentary and the little expressions throughout this story. It’s an interesting point for Chimpsky and I look forward to see where this leads.
PORTALS & BLACK GOO // A QUORUM OF FIENDS by John Tomlinson (w) Eoin Coveney (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
A fun completion of the story arc and everyone all in one place. The plotting and scheming is well done and I like as to how it is all nearly messed up! There are still some fun ideas here and I look forward to more of this.
THE FALL OF DEADWORLD // BLOW BY BLOW by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Simon Bowland (l)
A return to this dark world and we’re not in a good place. There are some interesting flashbacks and it all adds to the characters and how it all comes together with familiar names.
NU EARTH WAR TALES // BLACK DOME by Gordon Rennie (w) Colin MacNeil (a) Chris Blythe (c) Jim Campbell (l)
An excellent Rogue Trooper story with a minimal amount of the GI! I loved the setup here and the twists and turns throughout the story. The darker side of this world - if there is such a thing here - is interesting and I wonder if there will be a return to some of the aspects here.
