JUDGE DREDD // BLITZERS by Ken Niemand (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Dylan Teague (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
This is quite tense as the the ‘Blitzers’ could explode at any time. I like the flashbacks and the attempt to get out. Dredd has to make a tough decision to protect lives.
CHIMPSKY’S LAW // THE TRUTH CONUNDRUM by Ken Niemand (w) PJ Holden (a) Jack Davies (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Some excellent art decisions here and it crosses over with being amusing and serious. I like how this is being built up, and Dredd as a plan B is a good idea. Things are going to be difficult for Chimpsky.
SILVER // PERFIDIOUS by Mike Carroll (w) Joe Currie (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Quite a lot to take in in this issue. I liek how the betrayal is sorted out and there are some excellent moments. The rebellion seems to be having teething trouble and the additional humans on the side of the aliens makes it worse!
GHOSTED // BOOK ONE by Guy Adams (w) Megan Huang (a) Simon Bowland (l)
In the dreams there is something else. This was an excellent tease, with some brilliant artwork. There is a good mystery here and we are as in the dark as the characters at this point. A good second part to this story.
NU-EARTH WAR TALES // NU ROMANCE by Gordon Rennie (w) Gary Welsh (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Jim Campbell (l)
Finishing off this short tale with betrayal and action. A very clever short story with links to Nu-Earth and the past, present and future of Rogue Trooper.
