JUDGE DREDD // AND TO THE SEA RETURN by Rob Williams (w) Henry Flint (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A grim build-up here and there is more to this story than we think. There is a degree of horror and I like the mix of it all. The mist is causing more problems and I wonder if that is a part of this or just another problem.
RED DRAGON by Rob Williams (w) Steve Yeowell & Patrick Goddard (a) Dylan Teague (c) Simon Bowland (l)
It's a great start here. I enjoyed the flashback sequence and the flip to the now. This is an interesting introduction, and I’m sure we will find out more about what happened between then and now. I like the humour and the dour aspects, too.
BRASS SUN // PAVANE by Ian Edginton (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
More action here and a good setup for what is to come. There is some interesting commentary, and I love the facial expressions in this story.
VOID RUNNERS // BOOK TWO by David Hine (w) Boo Cook (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
There is some clever politics here, and I like the way this plays out. We get an idea of the plans in place, but the spoilers may already have some awareness. There is some excellent art and colouring in this story.
ROGUE TROOPER // GHOST PATROL by Alex de Campi (w) Neil Edwards (a) Matt Soffe (c) Jim Campbell (l)
Mostly flashback, but this was excellent and gives us a different view of the Quartz Zone massacre and what happened. I like how Rogue is introduced and that he will be brought back into this mission.
