JUDGE DREDD // AND TO THE SEA RETURN by Rob Williams (w) Henry Flint (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
There is a real horror feel here, combining some old-fashioned myths and legends with the Mega City problems. Things have got worse very quickly, and the people, combined with the fog, make this creepy!
RED DRAGON by Rob Williams (w) Steve Yeowell & Patrick Goddard (a) Dylan Teague (c) Simon Bowland (l)
There is some excellent back-and-forth between the two different times here, with some serious forboding going on. I like the change in art and colour and the feel of the story. It will be interesting when they link up.
BRASS SUN // PAVANE by Ian Edginton (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Although a text-heavy issue here, this does an excellent job of setting things up for the future while summarising what went before. I wonder if some not-sincere motives are going on here, though…
VOID RUNNERS // BOOK TWO by David Hine (w) Boo Cook (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Some amazing art here, and the four different factions on this planet are getting closer to conflict. The addition of trade negotiations, underhand tactics and relegion make this a powderkeg!
ROGUE TROOPER // GHOST PATROL by Alex de Campi (w) Neil Edwards (a) Matt Soffe (c) Jim Campbell (l)
Some excellent Quartz Zone action here, with a different look at Rogue and those around him. I like the twist about the officer, and it hopefully means we will get some answers in the next issue.
