JUDGE DREDD // AND TO THE SEA RETURN by Rob Williams (w) Henry Flint (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
The horror aspect is really ramping up here, and I like how it is so tense. The green tint to everything makes it interesting, and the cliffhanger at the end is excellent—it gives us an almost-forgotten aspect returning!
RED DRAGON by Rob Williams (w) Steve Yeowell & Patrick Goddard (a) Dylan Teague (c) Simon Bowland (l)
There is some interesting storytelling here, and I like how the Red Dragon is used. Flicking back to the now is interesting, and that final panel adds a new dimension to the story…
BRASS SUN // PAVANE by Ian Edginton (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
An interesting dream sequence here (or is it) with some good hints towards the future. I liked the reactions to it, especially on waking up. The final panel makes us look forward to the next issue as we are somewhere new.
VOID RUNNERS // BOOK TWO by David Hine (w) Boo Cook (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
This was excellent in moving the story forward, and I liked the cultural differences. I wonder how much more that will feed into what is going on. It looks like it is going all the way planned, but the flick back to the home planet seems to spoil that.
ROGUE TROOPER // GHOST PATROL by Alex de Campi (w) Neil Edwards (a) Matt Soffe (c) Jim Campbell (l)
We get the reasoning behind the issue here and also the beginning of a flashback. I get the reasoning behind it, and it will be interesting to see not only where it goes but also how it either ends up or goes wrong!
