JUDGE DREDD // DEATH OF A JUDGE by John Wagner (w) Mike Perkins (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Some clever parts here in the art as we track Dredd’s recovery. I like how the investigation goes, and there seems to be a bigger plot to get rid of him. How many enemies does he have?
HERNE & SHUCK // POWER TRIP by David Barnett (w) Lee Milmore (a) Gary Caldwell (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
It’s not all going to be plain sailing for Herne! I like how the silent aspect plays out, meanwhile it looks like there are some troubles back at home.
FUTURE SHOCKS // THE STATE OF NOSTALGIA by Ned Hartley (w) Steve Roberts (a) Simon Bowland (l)
A clever future shock which buttons onto a lot of what we see today - perhaps there is a reason for that? The ending was good and gave us a double twist!
AZIMUTH // CORNERED by Dan Abnett (w) Tazio Bettin (a) Matt Soffe (c) Jim Campell (l)
Finishing off this mini-arc, this worked out well and sets things up for what is to come. Some good dialogue and commentary as well as some brilliant art.
THE DISCARDED by Peter Milligan (w) Kieran McKeown (a) Jim Boswell (c) Simon Bowland (l)
Building up the world and the different characters, this adds some interesting action and fun art.
