JUDGE DREDD // SILENT WITNESS by Ken Niemand (w) Nick Dyer (a) John Charles (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A fun one-shot story for Dredd, showing how bad the citizens can be and some dark humour within. A nice pallette cleanser.
BRINK // THE CALL OF THE VOID by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
After the revelation of the last issue, it’s good to see it being checked out. There are many options available here, and the final page was well-paced and adds a new dimension to the mystery!
SILVER // MALIGNANT by Mike Carroll (w) Joe Currie (a) Simon Bowland (a)
A bit of action for Silver here, and a look at the threat that is out there. And the threat from Silver. I like the conversations between the two, and this is an entertaining read.
THARG'S 3RILLERS // POSTER GIRL by Paul Starkey (w) Paul Marshall (a) Dylan Teague (c) Rob Steen (l)
A new story begins here with a mystery over the location and identity of a super-soldier. I like how it was all set up, and the pace for this first issue is just right.
HELIUM // RED OCTOBER by Ian Edginton (w) D'Israeli (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Well, the reactions are to be expected. The group are not in a good place, and it will be great to see this civilisation burned to the ground. Well played in eliciting these emotions in the story!
