JUDGE DREDD // CROSSED LINES by Ken Niemand (w) Andrea Mutti (a) Pippa Bowland (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
An interesting start to a new story. I like the setup, and it’s something that longer-term readers have seen before. Then there is the excellent twist at the end of this initial issue.
BRINK // THE CALL OF THE VOID by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
An interesting character setup in this issue, with some rounding up and some well-placed dialogue. I like how this is all set up, and the final panel makes a new addition to the story.
SILVER // MALIGNANT by Mike Carroll (w) Joe Currie (c) Simon Bowland (l)
Some more resistance action here shows their attitudes and how far they will go to achieve their goals - whether you like them or not.
THARG'S 3RILLERS // POSTER GIRL by Paul Starkey (w) Paul Marshall (a) Dylan Teague (c) Rob Steen (l)
A clever twist here, and it looks like what was planned wasn’t exactly how it all went down. Some clever use of the archive footage and how things went down. The conclusion should be interesting.
HELIUM // RED OCTOBER by Ian Edginton (w) D'Israeli (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
This was a good issue and shows some clever thinking regarding the character. I like how this explores the world and how it is going to set up more adventures.
