JUDGE DREDD // THE OUBLIETTE by Ken Niemand (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
We get given the quest for this story, and the artwork is fantastic. I like how it is all set up, and we are ready to go in this storyline.
BRINK // THE CALL OF THE VOID by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
I am liking Holly less and less in this story, but I guess that is intentional. After last issue’s revelation, this looks to delve deeper into what is going on. I think it’s a clever setup.
SILVER // MALIGNANT by Mike Carroll (w) Joe Currie (c) Simon Bowland (l)
Some good action between the two vampires and some interesting respect for each other. I like how this issue moved us along and set us up nicely for the next issue.
FUTURE SHOCKS // AN ALIEN INVASION ALPHABET by James Lovegrove (w) Steve Roberts (a) Rob Steen (l)
Something a little different, and it is dark and enjoyable in its method. I like how it starts with a clever ending.
HELIUM // RED OCTOBER by Ian Edginton (w) D’Israeli (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
This was an entertaining issue, and some of the facial reactions made me smile. The next step of the story is set up, and we are on our way!
