JUDGE DREDD // THE OUBLIETTE by Ken Niemand (w) Dan Cornwell (a) Chris Blythe (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Some action and a fantastic twist at the end of this part. I like that Dredd knows that he will be betrayed. I also feel stronger that this story will act as a ‘reboot’ for Dredd physically – new eyes, etc!
BRINK // THE CALL OF THE VOID by Dan Abnett (w) INJ Culbard (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Wow – this issue has just thrown the entire series upside down! Some interesting points here, and it will be something I will be hanging onto to discover what is happening in Brink – so many options!
THE FALL OF DEADWORLD // JUSTICE by Kek-W (w) Dave Kendall (a) Simon Bowland (l)
A dark finish here, with a kind-of familiar new foe. I like how it built up, and it adds to the bleak feel of this series. The artwork continues to be fantastic, with some monstrous foes and great colours.
NIGHTMARE NEW YORK // BOOK TWO by Kek-W (w) David Roach (a) Peter Doherty (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
We discover more, while our heroes move on. This was a good setup for the next part of the story, and the threat is closer than they think. I enjoy the art and the mythology being used in this series.
JUDGE ANDERSON // THE VOID by Liam Johnson (w) Rob Richardson (a) Rob Steen (l)
A slower story for Anderson, but a little action and a look at how the tower is affecting those outside. I like the twists, and the ending makes this interesting.
