Judge Dredd: Shrine by Ken Niemand (w) Nick Dyer (a) Len O'Grady (c) Annie Parkhouse (l)
A good one-shot story, with Dredd and the Judges going against a silent protest. It’s pretty deep, and it gives us a look at the victims of the Judges. I like Dredd’s continual reaction too.
Durham Red: Mad Dogs by Alec Worley (w) Ben Willsher (a) Simon Bowland (l)
I like how this plays out. There is some interesting commentary through this issue, and I like the silent reactions as we go through with Red. There is a comment on her previous adventure, but that doesn’t seem to have helped her here.
The Order: Heart of Darkness by Kek-W (w) John Burns (a) Jim Campbell (l)
A good mech battle here, with a lot of action. There is a few good character moments here, and I like how the battle plays out on the land, with some action in the air.
Enemy Earth: Book Two by Cavan Scott (w) Luke Horsman (a) Simon Bowland (l)
Kicking off from where we left the trio. This issue gives us more of the monsters that can be found on this Earth. I like how everything is bigger, and there are more problems.
Rogue Trooper: Blighty Valley by Garth Ennis (w) Patrick Goddard (a) Rob Steen (l)
And he’s back, and I enjoyed this kickoff. I thought something screwy was coming, and this was a great twist. That final panel is going to make the rest of the story interesting. The chatter between Rogue and the chips is well played out and perfectly pitched.
