Judge Dredd: Ascension by Mike Carroll (w) Stewart K. Moore (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
I really enjoyed this story, and do wonder if something can spin off of it all. There are some dark aspects, as well as some amusing humour (even from Dredd) the twist with Dredd is well done, and I like the way it plays out.
Sinister Dexter: Killer Serial by Dan Abnett (w) Antonio Fuso (a) John Charles (c) Simon Bowland (l)
A Sinister Dexter story, with only a small amount of the duo. Nevertheless, it is a good story and ends with a classic feel. I like the idea behind it and the different characters it briefly introduces as we get to the end.
Fiends of West Berlin by Karl Stock (w) Warren Pleece (a) Annie Parkhouse (l)
Set before the latest arc, this is a good look at what happened before. The ending is dark, and I like the way it plays out. I wonder if these characters will be revisitied?
Anderson, Psi-Division: Half of a Heaven by Paul Cornell (w) Emma Vieceli (a) Barbara Nosenzo (c) Jim Campbell (l)
A good, more emotional aspect to Mega City One. Something long-time fans would expect from Judge Anderson. It’s worth a second read too.
Middenface McNulty: Opening Night... by David Baillie (w) V.V. Glass (a) Simon Bowland (l)
A perfect Middenface story. I loved the style and the action. The humour is excellent and the ending works too. Some great art and expressions as well.
Judge Death: Common Enemy by Kek-W (w) Steven Austin (a) Jim Boswell (c) Jim Campbell (l)
At first I thought this was a one-shot, but there is something at the end that hints towards something in the future. This is worth checking out as it may be the only time Dredd and Death have teamed up!
