Review: All Guts No Glory #1
New from Zenescope Entertainment, this is the first of a three issue mini-series. This is All Guts No Glory #1.
Unbeknownst to the general population, there are highly trained military teams who bravely protect us from dozens of species of monsters that we don’t know exist! And then there are the guys who clean it all up… Craig and Jimmy are those guys. And while Craig has accepted his lot in life, Jimmy desperately wishes to one day become an elite monster hunter himself. But when Craig and Jimmy stumble onto a charming vampire named Sara, they’ll be forced to decide if they should risk everything to help save her soul.

This new mini-series throws you right into action with zombies and the team tasked to take them down. It's what happens next which is interesting. We always see the squad take out an outbreak of zombies, kill a gang of vampires or destroy a den of werewolves, but what happens next? How do people not see the remains and add two and two and discover the truth of these monsters?
That is where the cleaners come in. They sort out the messes and make sure there isn't a trace of them.
This is where our cleaners come in. First, they are cleaning up after a lab has a zombie outbreak, and other than the legal ramification, the cleaning needs to be done. Jimmy is struggling at school and wants to be a hunter, one of his teachers is going out with his mum and he's getting bullied. things can't seem worse.
Then there is the decision to help a newly-turned vampire, and that is going to steamroll in this mini-series.
I like the direction this story is going and it mixes the home/work life aspects here well. I like the artwork and the story is well told. The action in the story is great fun, with some great scenes and sequences. This looks to be a fun mini.
