Sam’s foe was quick and mighty clever.
Now Sam must skip town, maybe forever. The town doesn’t trust her, they think she’s the one. So Sam’s on her own, and alone she must run. But maybe, just maybe, she’ll learn in the wild. And return to that town, to face the devil child.

Sam is in a dark place following up on the big reveal and discoveries in the last issue—well, darker than before, as the townsfolk and police are after her, and she can’t get away.
The desperation for escape is evident, and the visions Sam has drive in her mental state. The artwork shows this well, and the colouring gives us some good views of Sam's mindset.
As the story progresses, we get an excellent callback to the first issue, which also gives Sam some understanding of what comes next. That, along with a scene that gave me some shades of Luke in the cave in Empire Strikes Back.
All this leads up to an interesting final issue, with some measure of revenge being planned.
This continues to be a fantastic series, and I love following it.
