This is Dark Empty Void #1, a new series from Mad Cave Studios that features exciting science and psychology.
Scientists have created a stable, microscopic black hole in a secret underground compound, but when they lose control, the black hole spews out a cosmic maelstrom, strange dangerous creatures, and most surprisingly a mysterious human teenage girl. Now, a depressed but brilliant psychologist must help her estranged husband and the other scientists solve the mystery and close the black hole before it consumes all of Earth.

Cleverly combining a deeper look into people's minds with some excellent science fiction, Dark Empty Void #1 is an excellent start to what looks to be a deep and well-thought-out series.
We are starting with the three main characters. Colson is a scientist working on a top-secret black hole project. He is looking at the science side of the story and has a direct link to the next one in the link—Joy. Joy is a psychiatrist lecturing the next generation and struggling with her break-up with Colson. This already makes it an interesting dynamic if it wasn’t for the appearance of ‘Art’.
‘Art’ is who has come from the other side of the black hole, and although this issue is all about the setup, it still makes it an intriguing read, where we learn about the three main characters and who they are. Obvioulsy Art is is a little different, she doesn’t seem to be entirly human and has some difficulty with the world she finds herself in. Breathing, for one thing, is something she doesn’t know about.
What she does know about makes this interesting, too—she knows Joy’s middle name and her lectures, and she knows that where she came from is in some danger if she doesn’t return.
That is a fantastic start to a new series!
Combining the above with some excellent art, which, with its colours, conveys both the moods and emotions of the characters as well as some high sci-fi elements.
It's a fantastic story with some excellent art!
