Investigating a cunning and powerful witch known as Desire, Gretel and Calibar are violently separated from each other while trying to reach her lair. Now Gretel must risk her life to rescue Calibar from the witch's clutches, but does she even want to be freed?

Gretel’s fall has been teased for a while, and you can see how this all looks for those on the outside. In this case, it’s Calibar who is having her eyes opened. Captured by a new witch, Calibar is under her thrall, and her mind is being twisted against Gretel.
This is an interesting one though, as it moves the larger story further forward and shows how the absolute power - in this case, the power of the witches - can corrupt absolutely.
The switching between the two characters is interesting. You can see the good intentions for Gretel. The defeat of the witches and the rescue of Calibar are all good intentions, but the methods of getting there are getting all the more reckless and dangerous.
There are some good battle scenes here, with the two friends going at it and some more gruesome creatures. The bombastic magic being used is excellently shown, leading to an interesting crescendo between Gretel and Calibar. The witch involved is gently pushing things, and it will be interesting to see more of the fallout of this story.
