This was a dark issue built well on the ongoing arc across the Grimm Universe. We get an unwelcome return from the previous issue and realise that there is much more going on than we expected - Shang too! There is some loss in this issue, but I wonder how permanent that will be, as the duo aren’t strictly dead but are in a bad place. I expect we will see their return at some point.
I liked the interaction between Malec and Baba Yaga in this issue - Baba Yaga’s role is interesting as it seems that she is resigned to her lot, but I wonder if this could change in the future.
The artwork continues on well with some excellent rough lines; these suit the style of the story well, as well as the location it is mainly set.
It all sets up the next part of this large arc, and I wonder what decisions will be made.
