A new issue and a new adventure in Grimm Fairy Tales #92 from Zenescope Entertainment.
Thumbelina
Sometimes the largest of tales begin from the tiniest of places, and Skye Mathers, Guardian of the Nexus, always seems to find herself in the middle of it all. When mysterious magical incidents begin occurring on the West Coast of the United States, Skye is tasked with getting to the bottom of these events. But what she finds is anything but a small problem, and will be forced to learn, that if she’s not careful, and with a certain perspective, it’s actually not too difficult to make a mountain out of a molehill.

It looks like Shang and Arcane Acre are taking a more proactive approach to the problems manifesting on their doorstep.
This is a good idea, and hopefully, it will allow the team/school to get in front of the problems rather than being surprised by them.
This magic scanner leads Skye to a science lab, not the place where you would expect a large influx of magic, but this is something else. Skye, investigating with a device similar to the Ghostbusters ghost detector, finds a secret passage and someone within a glass tomb. She is alive, though, and once awakened, she and Skye are transported somewhere else.
The name of this issue—Thumbelina—gives the game away slightly as to where they have gone, but this is a good introduction to some of “Lina’s” backstory and what she can do and is like. Amidst all the action, it also gives us a new villain to check out, and they have some interesting powers and a new way of attacking their foes.
This was a good one-shot story, which sets up the future nicely, with this aspect of the Grimm Universe in the background and something to return to at a future date.
The art was a lot of fun. There were some new monsters to fight, and as Skye points out, they are very different from what we usually get.
