With the reveal of Van Helsing arriving to help the team - of course, there are vampires involved - this issue moves things on pretty quickly.
There is some nice references to some of the past issues that Van Helsing has dealt with, specifically the name Westenra and the past/present adventures that Van Helsing had to deal with that vampire. It appears that this will be a recurring theme throughout her stories.
Even so, the team is well-matched against the general vampires, but this new one seems quite intelligent. And she does get her way, leading to a bloody cliffhanger that could be a significant problem!
This was a fast-paced issue, which, in terms of pacing, felt a little choppy in places but was enjoyable nonetheless. The art team had some fun with the action moments here, and there were some good scenes that played on the events well.
