Out this week from Zenescope Entertainment is a new Grimm Spotlight. This week they are focusing on Masumi. Check out my thoughts below; it’s out now!
Descended from a long line of demon hunters, Masumi’s work takes her to the city by the bay, where she discovers a deadly demon in search of an even deadlier prize.

This new spotlight issue brings back Masumi, who has been put on the back burner for a little while, but it is good to see her back, and this issue works well as a re-introduction for new readers and those who need a refresher.
This story is one of two hunters. There are some similarities between them - most of all, that they are related and that demons are involved. Nevertheless, as we see in the story’s opening act, one is much more brutal than the other.
It kicks off with blood and action, and we get a good understanding of this hunt. After that, Masumi is featured, and here we see her side. It's well done, and we can see that Masumi is working for the best of all.
This was a cracker issue, with plenty of fighting and some well-laid-out moves to go with them. The action scenes were incredibly dynamic and built into the style of the story and those who were fighting.
The ending was interesting, and it looks like we will get more on this story and rivalry in the future.
