A new one-shot horror tale in this latest issue of Grimm Tales Of Terror from Zenescope Entertainment. Featuring a modern fear…
You’re alone in your car, driving late at night. Headlights flicker in your direction. You’re confused. Everything appears normal enough, yet it seems like people are desperately trying to get your attention. But why??? I have to confess, this wasn’t what I was expecting when I saw the cover and the blurb about the story. I thought it would be more about a killer who hides in the car’s back seat and attacks from there.
What we get is still a vehicle-related murder aspect, but in this story, there are some good twists and turns, which culminate more supernaturally.
The beginning gets you on board with a clever link to the central part of the story and sets the tone for what is to come.
What follows is a cleverly written piece that sucks you in one way and pushes you the other way. It’s interesting, as long-time readers of the series may not trust a story at face value, but this one does some clever work.
I enjoyed the art here, and along with the road shenanigans, there is the supernatural element of the story that also shows up well, using the tones and colours well.
In conclusion - not what I expected, but still enjoyable!
