From Rebellion comes the last in this mini-series. This is Hawk The Slayer #5.

  • UK and DIGITAL: 10 August £3.99

  • NORTH AMERICA: TBC $6.50

  • DIAMOND: TBC

Don’t miss the all new comic-book sequel to the classic eighties fantasy movie as the epic adventure reaches its thrilling finale – Hawk demands vengeance for Gort, and so our heroes commence their assault on Voltan’s stronghold. Who will survive the climactic battle? Be here for Chapter Five: ‘Die By the Sword’!

CREATIVE TEAM: Garth Ennis (w) Henry Flint (a) Rob Steen (l)
COVER: Greg Staples

Completing the story and it has a satisfying finish to this classic yarn.

Hawk and his comrades have one final fight left as they look to defeat his mad and resurrected brother. Things don't go completely to plan and the battle is on.

The battle does take up much of the story, and it is grim and bloody with a lot of good trash talk from Voltan. his comment hit home and it does look like all is lost. Nevertheless, good prevails in a unique way and I did wonder if this would happen - it was cleverly done and brought a smile to my face.

The wrap-up is excellent, and possible could leave things open for a spin-off for the surviving characters. I wouldn't mind reading some of those.

The art is excellent, with some great parts in the fight scenes and the use of darkness and light at the end.

An excellent mini series.
