Review: Human Remains #4
From Vault Comics this week the monster pushback continues in Human Remains #4.
Nightmare deaths, constant fear, and twisted emotions.
When top virologist Dr. Naresh Sharma gets an unexpected request from General Sullivan to help him catch one of the monsters who killed her beloved son, she might just find a way to avenge her boy and stop herself from crumbling with grief. But how do you catch a monster who appears out of nowhere and just as quickly vanishes? Meanwhile, we discover what really scares General Sullivan - and it isn't a monster.Writer: Peter Milligan

It seems we are getting closer to finding out a little more about these attacks.
The armed forces had a go at capturing one of the creatures, but it was unsuccessful, but with some help, one has been captured.
We get more of the human aspect in this issue - with the Doctor, fresh from the death of her son, she throws herself into her work, and finds a way to capture these beings, and hopefully gain some understanding. Nevertheless, deep in this tragedy, there is more to come from it all.
The General, on the other hand, has his own problems. It is an interesting look at a stoic man in a time where that is a good survival trait. His own father, suffering from mental issues, is the latest victim. The General's reaction to this death is interesting and well built up. It is understandable in a way and I like the way his story pans out.
This was a well-built issue. Again, concentrating on the human aspects of the monsters, and the monsters within. The full cast wasn't all used in this issue, but the Doctor and the General - with their different styles - were a good choice to move this story forward.
I enjoyed the art in this issue, with some excellently crafted scenes - that final page will stick with me.
