Review - Mothra: Queen Of Monsters #3
From IDW Publishing
Time-travelling shenanigans here with giant monsters in Mothra: Queen Of Monsters #3 from IDW Publishing.
The old Mothra may be dead, but a new Mothra has arrived! After rescuing a Mothra egg from the Cretaceous period, Mira and Emi arrived back in the present or, actually, back at Mothra’s original fight against Antra. And worse-they brought Meganulon with them! Is it possible that their actions in the past are what led to Mothra’s original death?!
Whatever the case may be, Mira and Emi now have a baby Mothra larva that they have to train to one day prevail against Antra and the monstrous Meganulon or else this dystopian world of their own making will never be undone.

This issue was a real mixed bag. There is still some time-travelling to get on with, and we have a deeper look at the monsters and their guides. There is an interesting point about the connection with them, and I wonder if that aspect will lead to the finish of that story.
Time travel.
I have a sneaking suspicion of a time travel paradox happening here, and that will round the whole story off in a circle if that is the case.
Even so. This issue addresses the relationship issues between the two sisters, considering what they have had to go through, it makes sense that this is a significant point.
Talking of big, there is some significant monster action here, even without Mothra involved it works out as an excellent issue, with past and present monsters to watch out for.
I enjoy the art here, and the weaving of the more mystical aspects of the story works well.
