Three entertaining stories here, each with links to stories past, and now stories yet to come.
First up, we have the mysterious Blood Countess. There are some links to Dracula's return to this story without really featuring him. There are vampires, of course, and the story also does a good job of describing the situation the vampires found themselves in while Dracula was lording it over in Hell.
The Countess is an interesting character. I’m not quite sure she is a vampire, but she does appear to be something else. We get a good look at some of her origins and the power she holds. She seems to be an interesting character who will be interesting to follow as Dracula claws his way back up the hierarchy!
Another origin here, this time more bloody than the vampire-related story above. Tigger is the focus, with her time before Pooh. It is an interesting mix, combining some werewolf-style tropes with the military side of the group. The straight-faced work of Tigger, Pooh, and the rest is well done, and that final page of the story leads us into what may be coming for Pooh in the future.
The final story of this comic introduces Terror back into the monster world. The use of a legacy-type hero and a frozen soul was an interesting premise, and I like how the two characters in this story were told. It works well as a tease for the conflicts within and outside the wider world that are going to happen.
Overall, this short anthology was an excellent primer for what's to come, mixing superb artwork and colours with some teases for the future.
