Oz does seem to lurch from one crisis to another, but at the beginning of this issue, it appears that someone is taking the bull by the horns and taking charge. Stopping all this violence and allowing those on Oz to live in peace.
I don’t trust it.
I think I’m pretty right as well. In this initial issue, we get a good look at the power involved, what this mysterious goddess can do, and how much she is prepared to make things work.
It's an interesting twist, as we see how diverse the groups are in Oz, with their arguments and demands on each other and the King. The fact that someone could turn up and solve this is interesting, but her methods are equally doubtful.
That, in turn, does give us a decent amount of action, with an attack on Emerald City and Dorothy and the rest fending it off. The build is well done and this is an exciting initial issue, which appears to mean some big changes in Oz.
