Finishing off this issue with aplomb, we get the end of the story arc and a lot to take in.
We get more of the history of the wicked witch. What she did, and how she fell. It is a compelling story and well told. There are some points where you have sympathy for her - the road to hell is lined with good intentions.
The battle makes up most of this story, and it is well played out throughout the story, as both sides have ups and downs. Even momentary lapses are fraught with potential danger as things may or may not go to one side’s liking.
The artwork is well done in this issue, with the different types of magic being used and the locations; the art and colours pop well and make this an easy read.
As we get towards the ending, we do get closure for the story, but - and this is a big but - there is a question mark over that finish, and potentially something for the future of Oz.
