From Vault Comics
It's new from Vault Comics and has a big name attached. It’s Post Malone's Big Rig #1, and it’s out this week!
Post Malone’s BIG RIG. THEY PRAYED FOR A MIRACLE. THEY GOT 25 TONS AND 18 WHEELS OF HOLY WEAPON.
The Dark Ages…Demon hordes plague Europe as Hell invades Earth. The Six Petals, a secret sect of The Knights Templar, are in desperate need of a means to drive back the scourge and turn the tide of the onslaught. What crashes to earth is The Rig, a fully loaded tractor trailer. In the aftermath of its arrival, the only man left standing is an enigmatic former priest excommunicated from The Six Petals. He will become Trucker and lead the fight against Hell behind the wheel of a demon-slaying machine.

Well, this was certainly an interesting introduction to the world of the Big Rig. With demons from hell causing no end of problems, this double-sized beginning nicely sets everything up for us.
The demons are increasing, and their possession of humans isn’t helping. The story begins violently and bloody, with many questions set up for a potential answer later in the issue.
Then there is the Big Rig. Ready to go and loaded with weapons and the like, the Rig sticks out, but the ridiculousness of it all is quickly embraced, and we are on with the story.
And an excellent story this was, with a good cast of character - both fair and foul - and some clever backstory to it all. There is an excellent blending of religions and styles here too, and that adds to all the manic action that is happening.
I enjoyed this as an introduction. The plotting and storytelling are well played out, with some good ways of introducing new characters, teasing possible events in the future, and alluding to those in the past. It's all something to look forward to.
I really enjoyed the artwork in this, too. With some excellent use of shadows and light, there is a lot to get into with the medieval aspects, demons, and more—and then there is the imposing Big Rig to contend with.
There is a lot more to this story and a lot to be told. There is also an excellent cliffhanger at the end!
