Review - Prodigy: The Icarus Society #4
The penultimate issue of this mini-series from Image Comics
From Image Comics is the latest and penultimate issue of this arc in Prodigy: The Icarus Society #4.
Edison Crane Felix Koffka and their team are lost in the mountains searching for the city of Shangri-La-but it's not the place from the storybooks. Shangri-La is where the world's most evil people have been pulled for thousands of years and the dark secret behind it is revealed in this issue.

Edison Crane takes a slight back seat in this issue. Although he does have his moments. There are a couple of good reminders on how brilliant he is, and there is an interesting comment on his heart being light. I am taking this to mean that he is a good person. The other interesting aspect is how he may connect with Shangri-La…
This issue is building up to the final issue well, giving us a timescale in terms of the comic and the final aspects - 10 hours before the attack. A lot could happen in that time, and the ending leaves us at a point where we want to see the final resolution to the arc.
The setup of Shangri-La is well done, in the mountains, but in a massively futuristic setting, with a paradise for all of those. There is a mix of histories for the settlers here, and I like the comment about the oldest inhabitant.
The link between Shangri-La and Atlantis is well done, with some nice flashbacks.
I enjoy the art style, mixing the mountain scenes with some high sci-fi cityscapes. And then you add in the characters and tigers! Some tight lines and excellent colours.
Roll on issue #5!
