From IDW Publishing this week there are some interesting aspects in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #128.

Donatello and Alopex infiltrate the lab of Dr. Jasper Barlow in a bid to ward off the next attack of the Punk Frogs! What our heroes find in the lab will shock them and reveal a connection to a villain of the past . . . but first they'll have to defeat some deadly NEW villains!

Writer - Sophie Campbell
Artist, Cover Artist - Pablo Tunica
Variant Cover Artist - Kevin Eastman

This was a very interesting issue. Not only did it deal with the mad doctor who is using bits and pieces to create his own hybrid mutants, but there is also the astral section.

The aspects behind Venus is well done, with some excellent parts to it. The use of the dragon scale adds a new dimension to this, and I do wonder if there are any more of them ready to be used against the TMNT. Donatello has been an excellent choice for this storyline. He is empathic and has technical aspects too. This story seems to be building slowly with some good links to the past and possibly the future.

Bookending this story has been the excellent build to the Utroms and Triceraton races. The fast forward was well done. This is some good future storyline telling here.
