This was a good buffer issue after the oversized first issue. We get a good look at the dynamics between the prominent members of the Foot Clan - either humans or mutants or both - and there are some good and bad points.
Casey Jones is making a good case for himself, and although he does take a slight beating, it seems he is working well and getting better. Even so, his plan doesn’t bear fruit, but that is not all his fault.
Karai’s issue seems to be working itself out as well. After the sacrifice in the last issue, she may have been doubting herself, but she is moving forward and making her investigations. These are well done and have a different tone from Casey’s plan.
There are some tense moments between the mutants, and I like how this plays out, with Rocksteady showing what he can do and how he is.
This is an exciting series, and this issue finishes with a good hook, as I’m not sure where this will lead.
