The second part of this maxi-crossover within the world of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles continues in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Armageddon Game #2 from IDW Publishing.
OLD SOLUTIONS TO NEW THREATS! As Shredder and Leonardo team up with Cudley the Trans-Dimensional Cowlick in order to seek out the help of the enigmatic Cherubae in Dimension Z, Michelangelo joins Commander Dask and his Neutrino warriors on a quest to locate the rebellious Nova Posse in Dimension X. Meanwhile, Raphael is forced to swallow his pride—and his hatred—as he hunts down the missing Old Hob in New York City. But even if they find them, will the TMNT’s quarries be willing to join the battle against Rat King’s latest deadly pawns—Baxter Stockman, General Krang, and Madame Null—who are already taking the fight to Donatello and Jennika in Mutant Town?

I often praise this title for how they manage to juggle so many characters in one book. In this issue’s case, though, I think they went too far. There is a lot to take in here, with exciting time jumps and additions of characters and quests.
Stockman is up to something, and I think it is part of his plan to gain more power and a long-term plan concerning Mutant Town, Hob and the TMNT. His is, to me, one of the most exciting aspects. I like his scheming, and I look forward to his fall most of all - he reminds me of Lex Luthor going for President. the attack on him is suspicious, and I wonder where that will leave.
Meanwhile, there is a lot to take in space as the team looks to gain allies. This part was a little heavy, and I thought it could have been spread further. Nevertheless, we got to the point, and I must admit, Shredder and the transport did make me smile!
We’ve still a long way to go with this story and the parts are all fitting into place…
