With two more issues to go in this arc, this is The Magic Order 4 #4 from Image Comics, and it’s out this week.
Cordelia Moonstone is trapped in another dimension, where she must face the greatest enemy she’s met so far: her long-lost brother. He was given up by their parents many years ago, and now he’s itching to exact his revenge on the child they favored.

This issue is all about the build-up. Cordelia’s brother is in charge of this realm, and he is working his way through magic users. We get a good look at how powerful he is and what he can do, and it is all building up to the battle between the siblings.
First up, though, we do see what life is like for the magicians under the new magic order, and it looks as though they are taking full advantage of their new power. It’s a short bit, but it keeps us grounded well in the world as it is.
In the other realm, though, we get a lot of talks, but that is interspersed with magic battles, deaths and some violence.
This was a good issue - combining the artwork of the arena with the cell Cordelia is in well, with some excellent use of light in the story.
I’m already chomping at the bit for the next issue!
