The story continues in the fourth issue of the fifth volume of The Magic Order. It’s available now from Dark Horse Comics.
In the final volume of the series, Cordelia Moonstone is told she’s going to die soon and there’s nothing she can do about it. She broke the rules and now she has to pay the price, just like all her friends.

There is some interesting history and a possible redemption at the beginning of this story. I do wonder how much control over the demons really is here and if the long game of betrayal is being played. Even so, it is all good here at the moment.
Meanwhile, the assassins are gathering at a special hotel—I got some John Wick vibes here, and it works well in the magical aspects of the story.
Finally, we also get a proper idea of the big bad on the way and the cause of all of this, which was an excellent part of the story and really ups the ante of the villains and what the Magic Order faces.
I enjoyed the artwork in this issue, and there are some excellent colouring choices—mundane, earthly aspects mixed with magical, colourful elements. We’re close to seeing how this all ends!
