Review: Transformers #42
The main series continues with a fragile truce, in Transformers #42 from IDW Publishing.
Cybertron is under siege. Carnivorous Insecticlones and rust worms are eating the planet. Exarchon is returned, but Megatron's not giving up without a fight. Against impossible odds, Optimus Prime, Ultra Magnus, and Bumblebee must make an unthinkable choice: Is Cybertron even worth saving?

It's nice to have some more Optimus Prime-centric stories here. Yes there is a lot more going on, with other characters, but there is a closer look within The Matrix.
I'm glad for this, and it shows the link between the planet, The Matrix and those who live on Cybertron. In these scenes, there are some hints as to what is to come. Its not just the Decepticons, but also the rust worms, and the Incecticons. It's all quite intense.
This issue does well, moving the story forward, and allowing some space to look forward to things to come. The character interactions are well done too as they all go about their tasks.
I enjoyed the artwork here, with some good looks at some of the nicer aspects, as well as the threat to come.
