Nearly 50 years ago, the youth of Oakland County, Michigan fell prey to the twisted whims of The Babysitter Killer, who abducted and murdered at least four children between 1976 and 1977. To this day, the killer has never been brought to justice. True Horror Mysteries pulls back the curtain on this and other crimes, taking a closer look at the victims’ stories along with those of the suspects linked to them.

Who doesn’t love a murder mystery? This is something that Zenescope has done before, with some real-life murders and the addition of some new layers.
In this case, we have three real-life incidents unsolved today and many different views. The way the stories are put together is well done, with multiple options available to the reader as to what or who the possible solution could be. The murders themselves do take a slight back seat to the storytelling around it all, and I like how that aspect is concentrated on, with some devious people and betrayals.
I was unaware of any of these stories, which made them all the more interesting - perhaps as I am in the UK, I’m not as close to them, but even so - coming from the outside made this an interesting read of all three crimes.
I enjoyed the art; the final story was exceptionally well done with the blank expressions.
This was a good read, and hopefully we will see more of them - or possibly a re-visit, if they are ever solved!
