After the bombastic beginning of the first issue, Unnatural Order #2 is out now from Vault Comics.
In a world of blood, magic, and monsters, a second sun rises in the sky. Here, Iodoc the Druid rules all. But, despite his power, one man threatens Iodoc's reign: a prisoner named Murchadh. Freed from the Burning Fields by the Druid's enemies, Murchadh is on the run and marked for death...because, in a world turned inside out, Murchadh has another name, a secret that could change everything.

We get some interesting backstory in this issue. After the expected reveal from the last issue, this one builds on it, and while it may answer some questions, some interesting questions are still outstanding.
Leading a defence on the CERN hardon collider, Murchadh seems to be a no-nonsense soldier who is defensive of his team and about to become a father1. The attack on CERN was very interesting and had a good mix of the army forces going in against the magic of Iodoc.
I really enjoyed the mix between the two worlds. There is the ‘real’ world, the impact the Druid has on it, and the terrifying monsters and magic of the world as it is now.
This issue moves the story on well, showing the team(s) in a good light, with some interesting parallels between the two worlds. The link between the Druid and the Soldier is interesting and will have some interesting ramifications on the story moving forward. There is still a lot to learn about this world.
I enjoyed the art style in this, with some interesting colouring choices and some fun being had with the magic and monsters in this issue.

Never a good idea to get news like that before an important mission!
