From Zenescope
Three new comics this week from Zenescope Entertainment, with two one-shot comics, Alice In Zombieland and Zenescope Legends: Spring 2025, and a new series with Killer Kobra: The Hunt Begins.
Killer Kobra: The Hunt Begins #1
The newest and deadliest force in the Zenescope universe has arrived!
Killer Kobra, a shadowy vigilante who strikes with the fury of a thousand venoms, is on a mission to rid the world of evil, one monster at a time.
With his mastery of the Cobra style of kung fu and his lethal touch, nothing… including the elusive cryptid Bigfoot… will stand in his way.

Introducing a new character and straight into an adventure. There is a lot to set up here, but it is done well and still keeps the air of mystery. There are cryptids to worry about; in this case, it looks pretty violent, along with some unhappy locals.
I like the way the story is being told, and there is still a lot to learn as to what is going on, as things don’t seem to sit quite right here. There appears to be another part responsible.
Meanwhile, we get some other suspicious characters interested in Killer Kobra and his friend Chopstick. This looks like something which will sway backwards and forwards in the wider story, so we don’t learn too much in this first issue.
This was a good introduction, with enough to keep you hooked and ready for #2.

Zenescope Legends: Spring 2025
Don’t miss this legendary over-sized action-packed issue collecting untold tales from across the Zenescope Universe!
With three never-before released stories featuring Robyn Hood, Liesel Van Helsing & Introducing Killer Kobra!
40 Pages of Content!
Author: Joe Brusha
Three short stories with three Zenescope heroes.
First up is Robyn Hood, this one is the most stand-alone of all the stories, with Robyn teaming up (briefly) with the Black Knight to discover why people are getting turned to stone in the city.
They soon discover a link that also hits the other side of the Black Knight’s life.
It’s a clever short story that finishes nicely, building on more relationships with the two.
Next up is Killer Kobra, who has an action-packed adventure with his biggest fan. That side made me smile, and this story adds a little to the above story to see what he is all about. I wonder if this part or the characters will be revisited.
Finally, there is Van Helsing. This was an entertaining vampire battle, using brains and some action. The twist at the end was well played out, linking the past as mentioned at the story’s beginning to the future with something to look forward to for the vampire hunter.

Alice In Zombieland
Take another trip with Zenescope, down the rabbit hole, where the realm of dreams shows its true nature.
Nothing is as it seems in this world, and when a familiar visitor finds her way into the madness that is Wonderland, she is followed by something even more horrible than the darkest nightmares that already haunt this place-Zombies!
All hell is breaking loose and only Alice and a few new allies can hope to put the horrors back where they belong!
Authors: Joe Brusha, and Dave Franchini
Surprisingly, this story has a larger link to the Grimm Universe than I thought.
It has a good build-up and introduces some nice multiverse aspects to the stories here. The action continues excellently and there are some great action sequences and heroic moments.
The link to the larger story will be known, and it made an interesting aspect to the larger story going on and those involved.
