There are two releases out this week from Zenescope Entertainment. First up is the final part of Pooh Vs Bambi, and then the adventures continue in Grimm Fairy Tales #85. You can get them in print and digital formats now!
Pooh Vs Bambi #3 (of 3)
In the climactic finale, Pooh and Bambi face off, and the fate of the Hundred Acre Wood hangs in the balance! But even if Pooh can stop his erstwhile partner, can he hope to save General Christopher Robin and the rest of humanity from the war to come?

This was a fast-paced final issue of the arc, and it had it all—guns, explosions, and Heffalumps. It was a clever finish that finished off some threads and left many questions up in the air.
First, we see what Bambi has been up to with Kanga while Roo bounces around in the background. It works well, and Roo, Piglet and Pooh have a good fight scene. It does have some enjoyable parts and adds to the tension throughout.
Next up is a fast-paced chase to the planes, with good humour and exciting discoveries on board. I like how this aspect pans out; some exciting revelations cause more questions.
As the issue finishes with a bang, there is an excellent tease of what is to come, and I had forgotten about this character. Who else may arrive?
There is some excellent art and use of colour and motion in this issue, too.
This has been a fun mini-series and worth checking out.

Grimm Fairy Tales #85
Inescapable Fates
Beaten, bloodied and hunted—Skye Mathers and Anabelle “Belle” DiMarco are racing against time before all is lost! With the weight of a dark curse anchoring our heroes as they sink deeper into a prophesied oblivion, there may be only one way this adventure ends--to save many, one must be lost forever!
Story: Joe Brusha, Ralph Tedesco, Dave Franchini & David Wohl, Writer: Dave Franchini, Artwork: Babisu Kourtis, Colors: Jorge Cortes, Letters: Taylor Esposito (Of Ghost Glyph Studios), Editor: Dave Franchini and Production & Design: Christopher Cote
Finishing off the arc of this current story, I can say that it does two things very well. First, it strengthens the link between Belle and Skye and brings her into the Grimm Universe in a stronger position. The teaching offer was exciting, and it would be a good idea to get some outlier characters in to make more changes in the stories.
Next up, it moves both characters along regarding storyline development. I like the soft touch and hints towards Skye, and there are some things to come for her, so she does come out of this relatively unscathed. Meanwhile, for Belle, there is her continued question for her brother and more monsters. It’s good to have more allies, though.
This was a good story, though, with some great art colouring and useful lettering throughout the story. It is a good conclusion to the arc, with some potential new enemies and some bonds strengthened!
