Reviews - TMNT: The Last Ronin II: Re-Evolution #5 & Godzilla Vs America: Los Angeles
From IDW Publishing
One story arc ends, and some short Godzilla-based stories in Los Angeles. This week from IDW Publishing, it’s TMNT: The Last Ronin II: Re-Evolution #5 and Godzilla Vs America: Los Angeles
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin II: Re-Evolution #5
The second installment in the legendary Last Ronin saga comes to its fiery and climactic conclusion! The streets of New York have erupted in an all-out war and no one is safe.
Casey, April, Odyn, Yi, Moja, and Uno are all in the crosshairs. Will everyone make it out alive? Their fate is in the hands of legendary writers Kevin Eastman & Tom Waltz as curtains close on this chapter of The Last Ronin!
Authors: Kevin Eastman, and Tom Waltz
Artists: Various, and Ben Bishop
Finishing off the story arc, and it looks like all the key players are in place. Of course, that may mean removing some of them, and there will be some losses as well.
This issue combined the action of a three-way battle, along with the political power plays you would expect in a city and the TMNT universe.
The new brothers all get their time to bond, and their skills are well showcased here, marking them as the next step in the evolution of the TMNT.
I like the reveals, and there are some big setups for the next stage in this story of the last Ronin.

An excellent combination of stories featuring Godzilla within Los Angeles.
As I said with the previous issue, I have little knowledge of the personal aspects of LA, but I did get a good feeling of those from there and the type of city it is.
Special mention to the infographic styling of one of the stories, and the way that was broken up.
There is an excellent combination of humour and Godzilla action in this issue.
