Attention, soldier! A major new Rogue Trooper story is coming to 2000 AD later this year, as the team of Alex de Campi and Neil Edwards bring the Ghost Patrol to Nu-Earth!

From the creative team of Alex de Campi and Neil Edwards, Ghost Patrol explores the history of the Genetic Infantryman project which created Rogue and his fellow G.I. comrades.
"Rogue Trooper: Ghost Patrol is an epic, action-filled dive into the secret history of the Genetic Infantrymen and the lost soldiers whose skills were used to build them," reveals de Campi, who has written several stories for 2000 AD in the past few years, including the all-ages sci-fi adventure series Full Tilt Boogie.
As the co-writer of the acclaimed graphic novel MADI alongside Jones, de Campi also has an expert knowledge on all things Rogue. "If you are a Rogue fan of old, don’t worry," she continues. "There are a ton of riffs on and references to classic Rogue stories... as well as to Duncan’s upcoming Rogue Trooper film."
For Edwards, known for his work at 2000 AD as well as on properties including Spider-Man, Superman and Doctor Who, the opportunity to take on Rogue Trooper was impossible to pass up on. "Having the opportunity to work on Rogue Trooper is an absolute dream come true!" he tells us. "I really enjoy working on future war stories and getting to draw Rogue and all the future tech is fantastic - along with working with Alex, whose script is just super; with tons of action and twists and turns!"
Ghost Patrol is a perfect story for first-time fans of 2000 AD, interested in learning more about the character ahead of the movie. "You need to know absolutely zero about Rogue Trooper to get it," de Campi explains. "This is (chad face) 'chapter one, bro' stuff". Featuring huge action set-pieces and a new mystery which digs into the heart of Rogue Trooper, this is the storyline to get you briefed on the character and his world!
Beginning in September, Ghost Patrol will be part of a jump-on issue of 2000 AD which also features the return of much-loved streampunk fantasy series Brass Sun, as well as a major new storyline for Judge Dredd from creators Rob Williams and Henry Flint. A New Hero Emerges—And He’s Still in Primary School!
Nakama Press have announced their publication of indie hit - Cat Mask Boy.
From the Mad Cave Studios imprint Nakama Press comes CAT MASK BOY—the award-winning graphic novel, previously honored by the 1st HK Comics Support Programme!
This heartfelt and offbeat debut graphic novel from Hong Kong indie comics creator Linus Liu is set amid the vibrant chaos of 1970s Kowloon. It follows a schoolboy named Tiger as he ventures into the city’s lawless underbelly—armed with nothing but a homemade cat mask, a pocketful of snacks, and an unshakable sense of determination.
Drawn in Liu’s signature analog textures and bold ink lines, the book is steeped in local color and childhood imagination. His work combines slice-of-life storytelling with pulpy urban legend, offering a stylized lens into a vanished version of Hong Kong that feels both deeply personal and instantly universal.

In 1970s Hong Kong, Tiger, a secondary school student at Resettlement Area Rooftop Primary School, spends more time having fun than studying for his classes. His only ambition is to become a superhero, so he makes himself a cat mask. On report card day, he wants to show his mom his academic progress, but his report card is mistakenly taken by someone else. With no other choice to avoid punishment from his mom, he sets out to retrieve it and ventures into Kowloon Walled City, a notorious shantytown where no rules apply except those of the mafia. All kinds of illicit businesses flourish: gaming rooms, opium dens, and undercover trading. There, he meets a new friend named Dragon, who offers to help. Together, they must confront their fears and recover the lost report card!
“Cat Mask Boy is my first comic book and is so meaningful to me,” said creator Linus Liu. “I’m so grateful and lucky to connect with and gain recognition from local and overseas readers. Thank you so much to Nakama Press for publishing it in English, which lets Cat Mask Boy reach more readers and lets them understand more about Hong Kong culture.”
Editor Kristen Simon added, “I think readers of all ages will enjoy this sweet story of a mischievous little troublemaker who manages to get away with things by the skin of his teeth! But when his adventure leads him to a gritty corner of town and an unexpected encounter with another Cat Mask Boy, the quest becomes a heartwarming tale of teamwork, courage, and the magic of unlikely friendships.”
This marks the English-language debut of Cat Mask Boy, translated and lettered by Book Buddy Media and published Nakama Press—Mad Cave Studios’ imprint devoted to bold, manga-inspired storytelling from around the world.
A great title for fans of Goodbye, Eri, and City of Darkness, this is a spirited, scrappy, and utterly endearing ride through the streets of memory and myth. Cat Mask Boy will be available in bookstores and comic shops on October 14, 2025.
Tales of the TMNT Comic Emerges Out of the Hit Paramount+ Animated Series
More adventures for the TMNT, with Tales Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles moving from the small screen to comics with IDW Publishing.
Launching this October, IDW Publishing is proud to announce TALES OF THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES (TMNT), a fun new comic series spinning out of the Paramount+ hit streaming show. Featuring the comic book debut of writers Mikey Levitt (Tales of the TMNT production team) for the first story and then Andrew Joustra (TMNT: Mutant Mayhem production team) for the second story, with radical art by Louie Joyce (GODZILLA: SKATE OR DIE) for both of the three-issue tales. This comic features original streaming show characters in comics for their very first time, as well as classic TMNT characters never before seen in the new streaming series!

“TMNT comics are so iconic, so to have this opportunity to create a new iteration is a dream come true,” commented Levitt. “Now having written for the show and comics, there are so many exciting paths within this world we can send the characters, and I think the fans will love where we go this time! I don't want to reveal too much, but if you're a fan of the robot characters throughout Turtles’ history, you may want to buy yourself a copy when these come out! One more thing I'll tease: Not every villain we've said goodbye to is truly gone…”
”I’m beyond thrilled and honored to be going on a new adventure with the Turtles,” remarked Joustra. “We’ve been given the unique opportunity to further explore this iteration of the TMNT and introduce them to a new spin on some familiar faces. It has particularly been a dream come true for me to reimagine my favorite TMNT character, the Fugitoid, for these issues and to tell a surprisingly personal story with him. I don’t want to give too much away, but let’s just ZAY I’ve had a TON of fun working on this project and leave it at that. Cowabunga!”
Joyce is a lifelong Turtles fan and called this project “an absolute dream.” The artist added, “The style and aesthetic of this latest generation of Turtles is so unique and fun! I'm having a blast exploring and expanding on it through my own art and storytelling. Humour, heart, action! It's all happening on these pages, in that perfect TMNT way.”
TALES OF THE TMNT #1 is on sale Wednesday, October 15 with a pre-order deadline of Monday, September 8. A special New York Comic Con variant cover will be revealed at a later date.
