Mark Abnett (Netflix’s Millarworld, Scholastic’s This Land, Killtopia Nano Jams) joins HIT-GIRL artist Goran Parlov (Netflix’s Millarworld, Marvel Comics) and exciting up and coming UK artist, Chris Connelly for a 100-page original graphic novel SCHISM.
This epic, post-apocalyptic story hits KICKSTARTER on May 1st
SCHISM follows Adrianna, the guardian of the Spanish city of Olot. Her brain keeps playing tricks on her, and she must collect the pieces of her memories together to understand her place in this world - and solve her untimely death (don’t worry, we didn’t just spoil it, that is just page 3 and it gets crazier from there!)
Schism gives the audience INVINCIBLE level carnage with the unstoppable force of Atomic Blonde!
The book is completely drawn and coloured (a rarity for Kickstarter!). With a small target of £2000, the team is hoping to hit their funding goal in the first 72 hours.

Follow a woman’s bloody path to freedom in a post-apocalyptic, winter-bound Spain.
SCHISM is a 100 action packed pages of excitement in a future where the survivors of an eternal snowfall are just tools of their oppressors.
But Adrianna Solero-Hunter is different.
And with her death, she's going to tear her whole world down.
“Schism came about one afternoon at the Lakes Comics Art Festival in Kendal, way back in 2018, when Frank Quitely recommended Chris and I working on something together would be a perfect combo,” said Abnett.
“I asked Chris what he wanted to draw and we came up with this hair-brained scheme to showcase his art and lean into his strengths, with a balls-to-the-wall action movie, wrapped up in 100 pages of comics nonsense, that barrels along at a million miles per hour, and is all about pure entertainment.”

Mark Abnett, Writer
Mark is a New Zealander based in Scotland.
He won the Netflix Millarworld contest in 2016 and wrote Hit-Girl in Image Comics Millarworld annual.
He is the creator of This Land published by Scholastic.
Mark can often be found on his couch complaining about the Scottish weather and pining for a can of Waikato Draught.
Chris Connelly, Artist
Chris is a popular Glasgow-based artist. He has worked with many British publishers as well as doing work for the Celtic Football Club.
When not drawing, Chris spends his spare time trying to keep his family and two house rabbits happy (A job easier said than done!)
Rob Jones, Letterer
Rob Jones is a UK-based, award-nominated comic writer and letterer. He can often be found shouting wildly at pigeons, with several days of beard growth, wearing multiple dressing gowns and trailing toilet paper from one of his slippers. Rob is also one of the masterminds behind Madius comics, and has had work published by Scholastic, Image Comics, Humanoids, Heavy Metal, Scout Comics, A Wave Blue World Comichaus, BHP Comics, DC Thomson and more!
