The surprise hit series from Dark Horse Comics returns to shelves on Wednesday, with SURVIVAL STREET: THE RADICAL LEFT #1!
Co-created and written by five time Harvey nom and Excelsior Award-winner, James Asmus (Rick & Morty: Corporate Assets, Captain America & Bucky, Transformers), and the celebrated fan-favorite writer Jim Festante (Rick & Morty: Super Spring Break Special, The End Times of Bram & Ben, Field Tripping)—Survuval Street: The Radical Left features a star-studded creative team with illustrations by Kazakhstanian artist Abylay Kussainov, colors by Ringo Award-winning Ellie Wright (Batman/The Shadow, Red Sonja, Vampirella), and letters by Ringo Award-winning Taylor Esposito (Drawing Blood, Space Ghost, Robin Lives!).
This four-issue miniseries with standalone adventures is the exciting continuation of the original Survival Street series, packing an all-new punch in battles against A.I., soulless kids’ entertainment, American colonialism, and much more!
After America is sold off to private companies, this A-B-C-Team of ex-entertainers rescues kids from cruel company towns. But Portland can’t hold everyone they rescue, and the cracks are about to break… Prepare for a radical departure in the series Library Journal called a “blisteringly satirical mash-up of Sesame Street and Robocop.”
Let the mayhem ensue! This new entry in Dark Horse Comics’ legacy of truly original creator-owned series, Survival Street: The Radical Left #1 drops in shops Sept. 25, 2024!
From Maverick is the news of a new young adult graphic novel - Pantomime. Check out the details below.
Maverick is pleased to announce the upcoming release of a young adult adaptation of Christopher Sebela and Dave Stoll's acclaimed Pantomime (on-sale January 21, 2025), originally published through Mad Cave in 2020.
In the YA return of Pantomime, Haley and her brother, Max, are alone after their mother’s death and are sent to Wayfair Academy, a special needs boarding school. Eventually, they find family amongst other deaf children. One night the group decides to dip their toes into crime… the thrill is too much to leave behind. They soon find out that stealing from the wrong person, has its consequences. With no one to turn to but each other, they must make a choice, one where no one comes out the same.
Writer Christopher Sebela said of the project, "Pantomime is a book I was scared of getting wrong because so much of it was way outside my experience, and I’m even prouder that with David and Mad Cave, we managed to get it right. Now I’m even prouder that it’s getting a new life with a new audience. I can only hope they have as much fun with the thrills and chills of the heists and the dynamics between our criminal kids and their crooked father figure as we did making it."
Illustrator David Stoll said, “It was thrilling to learn about Maverick reprinting Pantomime for a young adult audience, because that's who this story is for. If you're into found-family heist books with a strong female lead and are as excited as we are to include the deaf community in this absolutely killer story, welcome to the table!””
The project’s editor, Lauren Hitzhusen, said that the book was a natural match for Maverick’s list. “We're delighted to have Pantomime as part of the Maverick family! Pantomime's diverse cast of deaf/Deaf/Hard of Hearing teens embarking on the heist of a century is the perfect crime-thriller addition. While the original story remains the same, we worked with the Pantomime team to make small updates making it more accessible for young adult readers. We are thrilled to bring Pantomime to the family and cannot wait to share it with everyone!”
PANTOMIME (9781545816264; 152pp; Trade Paperback; $14.99); is available for preorder now, and on-sale wherever books are sold on January 21, 2024.

Kodansha has announced a new horror manga coming out digitally at the beginning of October - Parasyte Reversi.
Making its digital debut on October 8, 2024, Parasyte Reversi is a parallel episode that offers an exciting new perspective on the events of Parasyte—the original alien invasion body horror manga that inspired the fan-favorite anime and a live-action Netflix series.
Three dismembered bodies were found in an abandoned basement parking garage, sliced limb from limb while they were still alive…and if the boy who discovered them is to be believed, the murders occurred in an impossibly short window of time. Nothing is adding up for veteran detective Fukami of the East Fukuyama police department, and his gut is telling him the boy is hiding something. In fact, he’s quite certain that Tatsuki Hirokawa saw exactly what happened, and who did it. But what the boy knows will go far beyond even his wildest nightmares… A riveting parallel episode to Hitoshi Iwaaki’s acclaimed sci-fi horror series, from the author of cult classic Teppu.
Parasyte Reversi will be available upon release across all our participating digital vendors, including Amazon Kindle, Bookwalker, Apple Books, Google Play, Nook, Kobo, MyAnimeList, Mangamo and more! Fans can also purchase and read all Kodansha digital manga on kodansha.us.
