Cabal Comics, of which I have backed several of their titles on Kickstarter, has a new comic coming in April 2023. The Berg sounds like an excellent story and well worth checking out. Have a look at the details below.
THE BERG is a 48-page horror comic coming to Kickstarter in April 2023 from Cabal Comics.
The Berg is written by Sarah Peploe & Fraser Campbell with art by Gavin Mitchell, lettering by Colin Bell, and colour assists by JP Jordan.
The Kickstarter will offer backers the chance to buy digital and print versions of the comic, as well as the chance to grab unique rewards, such as commissions, postcard sets, and loads more!
The Story…
A team of sanitation workers descend into the London sewers to clear the biggest fatberg the city has ever known. But soon after embarking on their mucky mission, strange things start to happen. Their comms fail. The power dies. They start hearing things, seeing things. And, as they wade on through the dirt and the darkness, the crew soon become gripped by a gathering sense of foreboding. As if they are being watched. Hunted. The Fatberg. It couldn’t be…alive, could it?
Blending character driven story with classic creature-feature action, THE BERG will appeal to fans of horror, monster movies, exploitation, and gross, gloopy, gooey against-the-odds action!
If you’re a fan of movies like The Thing, The Blob, Lake Placid, Alligator, The Host, Slugs, Alien, The Descent, Tremors and comics like Nameless, B.P.R.D, Man Thing and Creature Commandoes you’ll love THE BERG!
