The Wizard of Oz Film Adapted to Graphic Novel by Soo Lee!
A new adaptation of a classic story from Dynamite Comics. The preview shows some excellent art in The Wizard Of Oz.
In Partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products, Dynamite Entertainment announces The Wizard of Oz in a complete graphic novel adaptation by superstar Soo Lee this September.
Audiences have been captivated by The Wizard of Oz for over 85 years, since its release in 1939. Around that same time, the burgeoning medium and industry of comic books and graphic novel storytelling were flying off the newsstands and into the hearts of readers, setting the foundations for another incredible art form.
Now eighty-five years later these two worlds collide as the wickedly talented Soo Lee (ThunderCats: Cheetara, Disney Villains: Maleficent) flexes her complete artistic skills as writer, artist, and cover artist for an enchanting new vision of the timeless classic. All ages will enjoy following a young girl named Dorothy, her adorable dog Toto, and the beloved friends they will meet and help along the way.

The Wizard of Oz tells the tale of a young Kansas girl who dreams of a better world "somewhere over the rainbow." When Dorothy is thrust into the eye of a tornado and lands in the fantasy world of Oz, she soon finds herself in a heap of trouble with three hapless misfits to guide, an evil witch at her heels, and no way to get home. The Wizard of Oz: The Official Film Adaptation Graphic Novel is an enduring tale and message of friendship, intelligence, heart, and bravery.
In bringing this peerless epic to the graphic novel page in her vision, Soo Lee was granted access to the opened "vault" and worked from the original film screenplay by Noel Langley, Florence Ryerson, and Edgar Allan Woolf. This means though longtime fans of the story and film will get to see all their favorite moments, there may be elements included across the 128 gorgeous full-color pages that may be less familiar.
"I’m not reinventing the wheel, but I’m adding my interpretation to the history of this legendary story," said writer and artist Soo Lee. "I was allowed more pages to indulge in and take my time on certain scenes, so I took advantage of the comics medium. I wanted to really shine light on Dorothy and her friends’ relationships and emotions."
This energized take on one of the most revered films of all time, brought to an exciting new medium by a top tier creative mind will have fans dreaming of somewhere over the rainbow.
The Ghost Who Walks Returns—The Phantom #1 On Sale This September!
I’m really excited to see The Phantom return to comics, and I’m looking forward to seeing this from Mad Cave Studios.
The Ghost Who Walks is back—and he's not alone.
After a wildly successful Free Comic Book Day preview with issue #0, Mad Cave Studios in partnership with King Features is proud to announce THE PHANTOM #1, the newest reimagined series from award-winning writer Ray Fawkes (Gotham by Midnight, One Soul) and celebrated pulp illustrator and colorist Russell Olson (Gateway City, The Darkest Judge). Lettered by the award-winning Taylor Esposito, this is The Phantom as you’ve never seen him—grounded in myth, sharpened by legacy, and ready to walk again!
Rooted in the legend of Kit Walker—the 21st Phantom—this new series expands on the mythos of Lee Falk’s enduring creation. The stakes are personal, the enemies disturbingly real, and the fight steeped in moral gravity. It’s a story about solidarity, resistance, and what it means to protect a legacy without becoming the thing you stand against.
This exciting first issue features variant cover art by Freddie Williams II (Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) in full color and black-and-white options; Caanan White (Uber, Harriet Tubman: Demon Slayer); Russell Olson (Gateway City, SKRAWL); Dan Brereton (The Nocturnals, Batman: Thrillkiller); and Natacha Bustos (Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur, Spider-Woman)—plus a sketch cover and a Mad Cave Exclusive variant by Maria Wolf (Moon Knight)!

THE GHOST WHO WALKS, WALKS AGAIN! The Phantom returns! Created by Lee Falk in 1936, The Phantom is one of the first costumed superheroes in history, with untold influence on pop culture. Now, critically acclaimed creators Ray Fawkes and Russell Olson reimagine the character for fans old and new. When a violent gang of smugglers stumbles on an idyllic Bandar village, the peace that The Phantom has brought to the African nation of Bangalla will suddenly shatter. It will take all of The Phantom’s many skills — and allies — to restore it. The most exciting series of the year starts here!
“Seeing the incredibly positive reaction to the Free Comic Book Day issue of The Phantom only got me even more excited to take part in making this series happen," said writer Ray Fawkes. “The Phantom and all of his supporting cast have such an unbridled sense of fun and adventure that I can’t help but love them all. I feel like readers will see that on every page!”
Series artist, Russell Olson, added, “From long-time Phans to first-time readers, the responses I've received for the FCBD issue have been overwhelming. I couldn't be more thrilled to be working with Ray and the whole crew at Mad Cave to deliver a great Phantom book. I love pulp storytelling and swashbuckling adventure, and there's no better character in Comics to explore those themes than The Ghost Who Walks. I'm jazzed for folks to see the new series.”
The Phantom #1 delivers immersive, morally grounded storytelling—where legacy, justice, and resistance collide in a timely, character-driven adventure, and hits shelves September 24, 2025.
No One Gets Out Alive—Except Her.
New horror from Mad Cave Studios, which has some excellent ones, with It Killed Everyone But Me.
Mad Cave Studios is cracking open the cabin door and dragging horror fans back inside!
Announcing IT KILLED EVERYONE BUT ME, a chilling new slasher series from writer Ryan Parrott (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Dead Day), artist Letizia Cadonici (House of Slaughter, The Neighbors), colorist Alessandro Santoro (The Neighbors), and letterer Taylor Esposito (Constantine)—launching with two blood-slicked covers: Cover A by Jorge Corona (Batgirls, Middlewest) and Cover B by Trevor Henderson (Scarewaves, Eraserhead Press).

Years ago, a brutal slasher massacre in the woods left a group of teens dead. The lone survivor, Sutton Reed, seemingly moved on from the horrific event and is now a successful therapist. But when a new series of murders occurs, Sutton must confront the dark secrets of her past -- only to discover the truth is far worse than she ever thought. The real killer has returned, and he’s just getting started.
“I grew up loving the slasher films of the ’80s and ’90s. Especially the iconic chatty killers. Freddy. Chucky. Ghostface,” said writer Ryan Parrott. “And even though they’ve gone out of style over the years, I always wanted to find a way to create my own. So I started playing with the traditional elements: trouble-making teenagers, an isolated cabin, a haunted final girl. But how do you make that story not feel cliché, and feel personal? That’s when I started to consider: What would it be like to survive something horrific like that? What is that person like twenty years later? It was at that moment that all the pieces fell into place to create the concept for It Killed Everyone But Me—an ’80s slasher about a seemingly well-adjusted alpha woman who not only has to literally dig up her past trauma to save others, but find a way to work with it… even as it's trying to destroy her. I tried to include all the elements I love about slashers: the gore, the depravity, and the twisted humor… but have it all add up to a story about grief, trauma, and acceptance.”
“I'm just so excited to be a part of this amazing project,” said artist Letizia Cadonici. “As a horror fan, I really couldn't ask for anything better. It Killed Everyone But Me has everything I like to draw and read—monsters, blood, and a strong woman facing it all.”
You don’t bury the past. The past buries you…
Part psychological horror, part blood-soaked revenge, this is a slasher for the survivor generation—one where the mask doesn’t just hide the killer, it mirrors what we can’t face in ourselves.
It Killed Everyone But Me #1 slashes into comic shops on September 10, 2025. Preorder now at your local comic shop—before it’s too late!
They Wouldn't Talk About What’s Natural… So It Became SUPERNATURAL!
More horror from Mad Cave Studios with Flow.
Mad Cave Studios is proud to announce FLOW, a haunting new horror miniseries written by Paula Sevenbergen (Stargirl, MAD Magazine, DC Comics) and illustrated by Claudia Balboni (Killer Queens, Star Trek), with colors by Fabi Marques and letters by Jodie Troutman; featuring by haunting variant covers from Aneke (Wonder Woman, Absollution) and Colleen Doran (The Sandman, Snow, Glass, Apples).
Flow isn’t just horror—it’s a reckoning. A story of menstruation, manipulation, and long-simmering guilt, Flow isn’t just about coming of age—it’s about coming undone!

When blood began to run down Dara Lund’s legs at Nature Camp, she thought she was dying. Homeschooled by a protective dad after her mom’s mysterious death, Dara wasn’t told the facts of life. “It’s the Curse,” her bunkmates said, not revealing it was her period. “But we can lift it…if you do everything we say.” So began their week of torment, making naive Dara do torturous tasks for their amusement. But now, 10 years later, as they embark on their careers, the three tormentors find themselves cursed—so they reunite to track down the likely source: a vengeful Dara. And they’ll pursue her to the bloody end.
“I’m so anxious to share this story, which was inspired by politicians wanting to ban sex ed and basics about biology in schools,” said Paula Sevenbergen. “It got me thinking about how the resulting void of info could be exploited—which, in this case, is done by bullies at a nature camp. And a decade later, their actions come back to haunt them. It's a bit like Carrie meets Yellowjackets. I’m grateful that Mad Cave gave us total freedom to let the narrative—and the blood—flow.”
Artist Clauia Balboni added, “Drawing this story has been a journey through depth, adventure, and quiet introspection. I truly appreciate the gentle touch Paula brings to telling the raw, lingering domino effect of actions taken and tucked away in time. I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with Mad Cave and James B. Emmett's team, and to draw Paula Sevenbergen's story. I can't wait to see it published!”
With a dual-timeline structure and chilling themes of body horror, Flow dares to confront what’s left unsaid, whether by shame, silence, or social taboo.
Perfect for fans of The Craft, Ginger Snaps, and Yellowjackets, Flow delivers a visceral meditation on power, gender, and the way the past refuses to stay buried. This is horror for a new era—eerie, urgent, and soaked in truth.
Flow #1 hits comic shops and digital platforms September 17, 2025, and is now available for preorder!
