ThunderCats X SilverHawks Starts Soon!
A new crossover with ThunderCats and SilverHawks teaming up in a new maxi-series.
The story everyone has been waiting for is finally here! Dynamite Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products are excited to announce a historic comics crossover event 40 years in the making. ThunderCats X SilverHawks kicks off this April with a trio of interconnected comic book titles telling a thrilling 15-part epic story from top creators as the pinnacle of over two years of revitalized storytelling.
Civilizations collide in the crossover of the millennium, as writers Declan Shalvey and Ed Brisson pick up the pieces and ramp up threads from nearly 60 issues of new tales across the ThunderCats and SilverHawks mythos, cresting to a can't-miss climactic crossover for dedicated diehards, and an approachable starting-point thrill ride for those intrigued by this blockbuster.
Critically acclaimed author and illustrator Declan Shalvey kicked off this whole era with the records-setting ThunderCats #1, and here he continues his signature contributions to the saga by not only writing, but also drawing the first issue of the flagship series starting in ThunderCats X SilverHawks #1. This follows the conclusion of the milestone ThunderCats #25 and the setup special ThunderCats X SilverHawks: Road to War. Extra-sized with 30 story pages, the kickoff chapter starts it all with a bang.

Panthro of the ThunderCats' mission to launch a new satellite high above his adoptive home of Third Earth resulted in an unexpected turn of events that will change the destiny of two entire galaxies. Alerted to an anomaly at a long-dormant base in a quarantined sector, The Copper Kid, Quicksilver, and Chromium of the SilverHawks set out to investigate. As soon as they land on the forbidden planet, they're confronted by a fearsome band of strange, cat-like warriors — and quickly find themselves in a fight for their lives!
"I can't believe I'm writing and drawing my own comics crossover event," said Declan Shalvey. "Having soon built up to 25 issues of the main ThunderCats book, I'm very excited about this new stage of Thunder-stories. When our initial ThunderCats series was announced, the first question I was asked was 'What about the SilverHawks!?' so I was delighted when die-hard fan Ed Brisson took them on last year. We always knew these two teams would go head-to-head somehow, artist Drew Moss and I left little teases here and there, but now feels like the right time. That the line of books has taken us to the stage where a crossover feels justified is something I never could have expected when I took on this comic book franchise. Getting to play with a new set of toys, while bashing them against the ones I've already been playing with makes me feel like a kid again. It's also been a while since I've drawn a big bombastic superhero type story, and I'm having a blast doing so."
The second series and part two starts with ThunderCats X SilverHawks: Mumm-Ra the Ever-Living #1. Shalvey also scripts this look at the archnemesis of the entire franchise, alongside artist Rapha Lobosco. Mumm-Ra has been a sinister enigma to the 'Cats ever since they first set their paws on Third Earth, and now the full ancient and tortured history of the infamous devil-priest will be revealed! While interweaving with the ever-evolving 15-part epic, this series dually functions as an essential origin for fans.
Shalvey added, "With so many characters and relationships, the main ThunderCats book juggles a lot. Mumm-Ra looms large in the book, but I've been wanting to dig into the complicated history and relationship between him and the Thunderans. With this series, I have such an opportunity and a large theater to tell a more epic story. I'm delighted to have Rapha Lobosco tell this tale with me after having done exceptional work with Ed on ThunderCats Lost. I can rest easy knowing he will deliver on how big this story should feel."
Following his fan-favorite chronicles of the SilverHawks, the ThunderCats Lost team, and a string of scintillating specials, writer Ed Brisson writes the third title involved in the crossover, joined by artist Vincenzo Federici. ThunderCats X SilverHawks: ThunderHawks #1 follows events from ThunderCats: Lost in Time and the Road to War special, starting with the Lost team trapped in the far future desperately trying to get back home and prevent the cataclysmic war that could end all of 'Cat-kind. They'll find themselves donning SilverHawks bionic suits and fighting in this unknown, hostile space and time.
"Since first starting on ThunderCats Lost and SilverHawks, the question I've most been asked is 'When are they going to meet!?.' It's been killing me to keep these plans under wraps for more than a year. I'm proud of the work we've put in building up to this event and I think readers are going to be both excited and shocked to see where we're taking it. I'm also relieved that I can finally answer the question. April, dear reader. They're going to meet in April!"
Each month from April through August 2026 will feature a new chapter from all three titles, continuing to build and complement each other to form the ultimate ThunderCats and SilverHawks legend and celebration of these fabled franchises. Fans are encouraged to be there from the jump, preorder and follow each chapter, and share their thoughts with Dynamite and the wider fandom!
Vampirella's New "Season" Debuts This April!
A new jumping-on point for readers of Vampirella this Spring!
Vampirella invites fans to bite into her next "season" of scintillating stories this coming April from industry icon Christopher Priest (Justice League, Superman Lost) and artist Davis Goetten. This next chapter in the ongoing epic going on over half a decade starts in Vampirella #1, intended as a convenient jumping-on point for new and returning readers.

The Daughter of Drakulon isn't the only such fearsome blood-sucker from the planet and family legacy. Her sister Draculina has recently lost her Vampiri powers, as well as the baby she wrested away from Vampirella. Now shackled with humanity, her already fragile psyche risks shattering when her thirst for blood unexpectedly creeps back. Confronted with the prospect of once again being consumed by the evil appetites that had controlled her for centuries, she sets out on a desperate quest to break the patterns of her past and find new answers — or die trying! And how does Vampirella herself factor into these next chapters?
Christopher Priest continues his critically acclaimed and signature approach to the franchise known as the longest running vampire comic book. Priest stands as the creator with the longest continuous un with Vampirella, cresting over 90 issues going back to 2019 with the franchise. The character also marches onwards to a historic issue #700. With the legacy numbering, this new Vampirella #1 also functions as #688. The major milestone is just about a year away! Dynamite can't wait to celebrate that event with fans who have been with the character over five decades, or are getting to know her in this very issue.
This new debut issue features ravishingly riveting variants from superstars Lucio Parrillo, Derrick Chew, Joseph Michael Linsner, Elias Chatzoudis, as well as a cosplay cover from model Rachel Hollon.
Additionally, collectors can check out some exciting premium mystery blind bags for the issue. These bags contain three limited edition variants of the issue, selected randomly from a large range exclusive to it.
Savage Tales Slashes Into a New Giant-Sized Special
Pulp classics with a selection of characters in a special Savage Tales.
Fans of savage action, powerful pulp, and Dynamite's biggest characters are getting another treat this April, as the publisher announces Giant-Sized Savage Tales.
Revered for his fun-filled fables of Elvira Mistress of the Dark, Bettie Page, and more, writer David Avallone returns for another batch of tales tapping into his pulp pedigree. The extra length 40-pager is packed with four fabulous hard-hitting chapters featuring a mix of the top Women of Dynamite and classics of the pulp era. He's joined by a trio of artists flexing their talents in these pulse-pounding shorts.

Recent The Kubert School graduate Mariano Benitez-Chapo has made it a tradition to connect with Avallone in these semi-annual specials. Here he handles two tales, continuing the "His War" story arc for Captain Gullivar Jones, as well as taking on the Daughter of Drakulon. Fans will not want to miss the haunting fable of "Vampirella Noir."
Powerhouse illustrator Pasquale Qualano pumps his artistry into a showcase of the She-Devil With a Sword in "Red Sonja: The Exile."
Last but certainly not least, the grin-forcing stylings of Sebastián Píriz wraps up one of Avallone's new pulp adventures with "The Last Allan Quatermain Story."
To celebrate this Savage spring special, a crop of cool covers is a necessity and Dynamite’s assembled team came through! Bjorn Barends pulls double duty here with covers in his signature style featuring both Red Sonja and Vampirella. Then model Ivy Cosplay slips into the costumes of both characters for solo shots as well as through the power of editing a team-up shot!
Collectors looking to level up their experience with this special release can opt for the exciting mystery blind bag! This bag will contain three limited edition variants of the issue, selected randomly from a range of covers exclusive to the offering.

Great roundup of the Dynamite announcements! The ThunderCats/SilverHawks crossover feels like the kind of thing that woudl've blown my mind as a kid watching both shows. I dunno if it was intentional, but weaving nearly 60 issues of continuty into an accessible entry point is actually brilliant for pulling in lapsed fans. The Quicksilver investigation angle is a solid hook.
