Building on the first Custard zine - The Roly Poly Issue - I visited Lisbon back in 2019 and had already scouted ahead to where I wanted to see.
Sailing in, we were already worried about the weather, as you can see from the above photo, it was overcast, and even looked like rain.
Even during the entrance to the port, the main bridge loomed out of the fog.
The cloud was bound to break, and we made our way across the city to where the lift was. I especially liked the trams, which had a retro feel about them.
Finally spotting the lift in the middle of a street. While there was a bit of a queue, it moved well, and we didn’t have to wait long to get to it.
From the top, the view was incredible. I wasn’t prepared for how hilly Lisbon was.
And then there were the stairs to get down…
The clouds finally started to dissapear and we got some sunshine!
An amazing city with friendly people, I would like to visit again!
